Warship

Some big US warship is cruising the Atlantic, near the French coast, on its way to the Mediterranean sea. The radar operator, who watches the sweeps, sees a bleep. He reports to his superior that he sees the bleep, and that they are on a collision course. The radarman's superior contacts the radioman superior and briefs him. The radio man superior, a lieutenant, gives command to the radioman sergeant to warn the unidentified vessel to change course. The radioman sergeant passes the order to the radioman flunky, who starts scanning the frequencies. Radar man briefs: Still on collision course, approaching fast.

Radioman flunky finds the frequency and starts transmitting: We are on collision course, we recommend you change your course by ten degrees north. The answer comes immediately, with a French accent: We see you coming. We recommend you change your course by 10 degrees north. The radioman briefs his superior. The sergeant takes the message up the chain of command, then it goes down again toward radar. Radar brief: Still on collision course, They don't move an inch out of the way. Up the message goes, to the commander of the ship. Tell them we are a US ship. "We are an US ship, we recommend you change your course ten degrees north."

The answer is swift: Qggwk! We recommend you do that' "We are US navy. We recommend you go out of our way by changing your course ten degrees north." -Qgggwk! "We strongly advise you to change your course!" The commander get contacts radar: What do they do? "Sir still on CC, sir!" The commander grab the headset from radioflunk and starts barking: WE ARE US NAVY, WE ARE A BIG WARSHIP, WE ADVICE YOU TO GET OUT OF OUR WAY NOW!!!! WE ARE AN AIRCRAFT CARRIER!!!!"
